Traditional Stencil Materials for Stencils with Bridges/Breaks
Silk Screen Stencil Materials
YOU MUST HAVE THE MESH SCREEN AND ONE TYPE OF VINYL (Either Heat Transfer or Adhesive Backed Vinyl)
*Choose from Option 1 or 2
Option 1 ADHESIVE BACKED VINYL
You can use Contact Paper from Wal-Mart or $ Tree in place of transfer tape.
This transfer tape is excellent! It lasts a long time if you reuse the pieces over and over.
Option 2 HEAT TRANSFER VINYL (HTV)
A heat press will give you consistent pressure and results when making silk screen stencils with heat transfer vinyl. You can also make more than one at a time.
If you use iron on vinyl(Heat Transfer Vinyl), you need a protective cover (Teflon sheet or thin towel) over it to keep it
from getting too hot and melting the silk screen and vinyl.
This protects the silk screen and htv when ironing. You DO NOT need transfer tape for this method.
